Constitutional Reform Committee Committed To Transparency: Minutes Available

The Constitutional Reform Committee (CRC) is pleased to advise that the confirmed Minutes of its first three meetings are now available for public access on the Ministry of Legal and Constitutional Affairs’ website.

The Minutes dated March 22, March 29, and April 5, 2023 can be viewed at Constitutional Reform Minutes.

“We honour our commitment to make the Minutes available to the public, to provide insight into the work of the Committee,” commented Hon. Marlene Malahoo Forte, Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs and Chair of the CRC.

“Verbatim transcripts of our meetings are prepared by stenographers. These, as well as the other Minutes, will also be made available to the public in due course,” she added.

We have also been honouring our commitment to consult with and engage the public on the reform issues. Already we have had over twenty meetings, in various forms. We have also been tracking the points of discussion raised in other specifically convened constitutional reform fora focussed on the proposed Republic of Jamaica.

Please join us for the next CRC Town Hall Meeting, on Wednesday, May 17 at 5:00 pm at the St. Mark’s Anglican Church Hall in Mandeville, Manchester.

We want to hear from you. You may submit your views, in writing, to the constitutionalreform@mlca.gov.jm
